    What is Locktober?

Locktober is the month every October when men lock themselves into a chastity cage and try to still be wearing it on the 31st.

    What it is

Locktober is a chastity challenge that runs the whole of October. You lock a cage on yourself on the 1st and the game is to still have it on when the month ends.

Nobody puts you in it. You decide you are in, and then you tell people — which is the part that makes it hard to quit halfway through.

It is done in public, together. Thousands of men start on the same day, count the same days, and finish on the same night, and that is most of the appeal.

    Where it comes from

Cages are much older than the word. Locktober itself grew up online through the 2010s, on Tumblr, Twitter and Reddit — the earliest post anyone has pinned down is from Tumblr at the end of September 2017, and Reddit gave it a corner of its own in 2019. The tag travels with #chastitycage and #locked, and every year it is bigger than the last.

It has a sister month. No Nut November comes straight after it and is not the same challenge: November is about not coming, cage or no cage, and October is about the cage staying on. Plenty of men run one into the other and make it a two-month thing.

    In their words

    Locktober

The month a man hands his own dick in for thirty-one days. Cage on the 1st, a photo every day so nobody can pretend it came off, and a countdown to Halloween he brings up in every conversation he has.

“Three days into Locktober and I already regret it.” “You say that every year, boy.”

    How people do it

None of this is a rule anyone enforces. It is just what the month has turned into.

    • Lock on the 1st

Everyone starts together. Starting late is normal too, and so is announcing it like it is a wedding.

    • Count the days out loud

A post a day, and the day number is the whole post. Men who do it alone say the daily count keeps them honest the way a keyholder would.

    • Hand the key over, or don't

Some give the key to a keyholder for the month. Plenty keep it themselves and let the group be the keyholder instead.

    • The cage check

A photo of the cage, posted the same way every day. It is proof, it is the content, and by the middle of the month it is a habit.

    • Pick a length you can finish

Beginners give themselves rest days. Further in, men allow a short daily window to wash and nothing more. The hardest version is off for emergencies only.

    • The finish line

The 31st is the point. Men who last it post the night it ends, and the ones who did not last are usually the loudest about starting again next year.

    How it works on fStable

Here it is the subs' game and nobody else's. You lock yourself up — no one can start one for you — and then you post a cage check every day, which three other men verify.

Last the month with every day verified and the Locktober badge goes on your profile with the year stamped on it. Miss a day and the cage keeps running; the badge waits for next year.

    Is it safe?

It is a piece of metal on your body for thirty-one days, so treat it like one. Wash every day. If something rubs, hurts or does not look right, take it off, sort it out and put it back on — nobody here loses a day for looking after himself. Keep a spare key somewhere you can reach on your own, without having to ask anyone for it.

Swollen, numb, discoloured or bleeding means the cage comes off now and a doctor looks at it. That one is not up for negotiation and no month is worth arguing about it.
